Manufacturing Digitalisation Specialist / SPOC

About the role

Join Ford's Halewood Transmissions Plant as a Manufacturing Digitalisation Specialist and Single Point of Contact (SPOC). You will support the plant’s digital transformation, working closely with Plant IT, production teams, and global data science groups to deliver and maintain innovative digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for all manufacturing digitalisation initiatives at Halewood.
• Develop, deploy and maintain digital manufacturing tools such as eFPS, IIOT, DWT Wrapper, DCC, PCC and BCC dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a digital transformation roadmap focused on efficiency and waste reduction.
• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to explore predictive analytics for production processes.
• Establish governance and change‑management processes for internally built digital solutions.
• Define and monitor KPIs to assess ROI of digital projects.
• Represent Halewood in European digitalisation forums and share best practices.
• Research emerging technologies, build business cases and engage with technology partners.

Required profile

• Strong manufacturing knowledge combined with a passion for digital innovation.
• Experience working in a plant environment and collaborating with IT and production teams.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into user‑friendly tools for operators.
• Excellent problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement mindset.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a competitive salary of £46,587.88 per year (inclusive of holiday bonus).
• Hybrid working hours: Monday‑Thursday 7:00‑15:30, Friday 7:00‑12:30.
