Manufacturing Engineer - Automation

About the role

This permanent, site‑based position offers a Manufacturing Engineer the chance to drive continuous improvement across an automated production line. You will work on capital projects, optimise workflows and develop your expertise in PLC and robotics systems.

Key responsibilities

• Improve automated workflows and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Program and maintain PLCs and HMI interfaces for plant equipment and robotic cells.
• Support capital investment projects and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Analyse production data from Andon systems to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency gains.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

Required skills

• Mitsubishi PLC programming.
• Siemens PLC programming.
• HMI development and configuration.
• Robotics programming and integration.
• Lean manufacturing methodology.
