Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Workshop (4‑day week)

About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong CNC programming background to join a leading precision‑engineering company serving the oil & gas and MOD sectors. You will become the technical expert for the CNC workshop, driving productivity improvements and ensuring high‑quality output.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor tooling performance and optimise machine shop productivity to meet KPIs.
- Maintain compliance with ISO9001 standards across all processes.
- Develop and execute CNC programmes to achieve optimal machine performance.
- Create and manage production schedules, identifying opportunities for new tooling methods.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, precision‑focused environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Required skills
- CNC programming
- MasterCAM (training provided)
- ISO9001 knowledge
What we offer
- Salary £50,000‑£55,000 per year
- Full MasterCAM training
- Four‑day work week (Mon‑Thu) with one Friday per month
- 33 days holiday plus statutory leave
- 8% pension contribution
