Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering Function in Birmingham. The role supports new business development and existing programmes by integrating production knowledge into the acquire‑and‑define phases and acting as the primary manufacturing interface throughout the product life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Author technical work instructions that meet process and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret OEM and customer data to create standardised manufacturing plans.
• Support creation, receipt and delivery of complex electronic manufacturing work packages.
• Manage configuration control of engineering baselines, master plans and non‑conformance reports.
• Handle technical queries from the shop floor and report associated metrics.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams to integrate technical solutions.
• Develop and implement advanced manufacturing and tooling methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis, problem solving and improvement projects.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering staff and mechanics on the factory floor.
• Background in assembly integration and testing of components, assemblies and systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
