Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring, forward‑thinking Operations Manager to join the site leadership team at our Falkirk manufacturing facility. Working closely with the Site Operations Manager, you will drive operational activities, compliance, SHEQ and continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site‑wide operational planning and execution, balancing strategic goals with day‑to‑day engagement.
• Analyse production processes to improve efficiency, quality and safety standards.
• Foster a performance‑driven culture centred on ownership, accountability and transparency.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues to develop a proactive, safety‑first mindset.
• Manage budgets, CAPEX programmes and deliver capital projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience leading teams in a medium to large, automated industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a unionised setting.
• Strong communication style with the capacity to engage all levels of the organisation.
• Demonstrated change‑management skills and ability to bring diverse teams together.

Required skills

• IOSH Managing Safely certification (or equivalent).
• NEBOSH General Certificate (highly desirable).
• Solid understanding of safety, quality and housekeeping best practices.
• Experience using data and analytical tools to drive decisions, including OEE.
• Budget management, CAPEX programme oversight and capital project delivery.
