Manufacturing Operative – Production & Warehouse Role

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Slough, is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operative for a permanent, full‑time position. The role blends production and warehouse duties, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods, conduct visual and dimensional inspections, and record findings in the ERP system.
• Process documentation to maintain product traceability and prepare shipping paperwork.
• Pack products for shipment to customers and subcontractors.
• Load and unload rumbling machines and wash‑plant equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on rumbling machines (e.g., changing water and media).
• Apply caps, pin components together, and carry out light manufacturing tasks such as manual tube bending.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Adaptable, able to switch between production and assembly tasks.
• Team‑oriented yet comfortable working independently.
• Physically capable of manual handling and light assembly work.
• Solid work history in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Required skills

• ERP system usage for documentation and traceability.
• Machine maintenance (routine servicing of rumbling machines).
• Goods inspection (visual and dimensional checks).
• Packing and shipping documentation preparation.
