Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the role

This is a full‑time opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company supplying the world’s power industry. You will work on the shop floor and with cross‑functional teams to optimise processes, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and create routings for various product families.
• Support the Operations Planner by releasing work orders and uploading documentation in MRP/SharePoint.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Quality and Engineering to keep technical documentation up to date.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Update MRP data, log job times and confirm operations.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram and FMEA.
• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and other process documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with switchgear, LV or HV products is advantageous.
• Ability to work to strict timelines and adapt to change.

• Lean Manufacturing methodology
• Six Sigma tools and principles
• Root‑cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA)
• Process validation and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SharePoint, MRP)
• Knowledge of switchgear/LV/HV products
