Manufacturing Process Operatives

About the role

Join a well‑established manufacturing firm in Consett as a Process Operative. You will work 12‑hour shifts in a 24/7 environment, operating key plant equipment to produce designated products safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reactors, tanks, mixers, dryers, distillation units and associated control systems.
• Conduct routine process checks, including alarm testing, strainer and scrubber inspections, and sample collection.
• Monitor and record critical parameters such as flow, temperature, pressure and weight.
• Maintain accurate plant records, data sheets and housekeeping standards.
• Operate a forklift, fill drums and IBCs, and assist maintenance with filter changes, pipework clearing and basic repairs.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times and collaborate with shift teams to meet KPIs.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Familiarity with Mazatrol controls.
• Strong focus on quality and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit for handling heavy products.
