Manufacturing Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our busy manufacturing operation in South Ashford. You will be responsible for keeping the factory floor running smoothly, delivering high‑quality products on time, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day production activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule and to quality standards.
• Manage production schedules, monitor progress across departments and coordinate with Purchasing, Project and Installation teams.
• Chair regular production meetings, communicate priorities and act as the first point of contact for production‑related queries.
• Monitor health and safety compliance, oversee equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
• Drive process improvements, track performance metrics and manage overtime and staffing levels.
• Conduct performance reviews, HR meetings and support supervisors in developing their teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing production in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to balance production schedules, quality, staffing and customer deadlines.
• Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinating workflow from inbound goods to dispatch.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety standards and equipment maintenance.
• Track record of implementing process improvements that boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
