Manufacturing Team Leader – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join a highly regulated production facility in West Yorkshire. The role involves leading a skilled production team, ensuring quality, safety and productivity while fostering a positive, accountable shop‑floor culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a manufacturing team through regular 1‑to‑1s and performance management.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and business targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs, implement improvement plans and report operational performance.
• Work cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, Materials and Production teams.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, health & safety and other regulatory standards.
• Support production planning, inventory accuracy and operational reporting.
• Maintain a hands‑on presence on the shop floor, leading by example.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., food, chemical, lab or clean‑room).
• Strong people‑management, coaching and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to drive performance, accountability and engagement on the shop floor.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate teams in a fast‑paced setting.
