Manufacturing Technician

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician will support the production of pharmacy‑grade sterile and non‑sterile products within a busy NHS Trust. Working as part of the Technical Services team, you will help ensure safe, compliant manufacturing while contributing to the Trust's income generation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing and supervising sterile, non‑sterile and pre‑pack product manufacturing.
• Supervise assembly of pre‑pack products and monitor resources, activities and quality‑assurance adherence.
• Participate in production, in‑process checks and final release checks under a Specials Manufacturing Licence.
• Apply GMP, SOPs and COSHH regulations to maintain safe working practices and regulatory compliance.
• Input, update and release product and stock information on the pharmacy computer system.
• Liaise with pharmaceutical suppliers to procure suitable equipment and supplies.

Required profile

• Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of quality‑assurance processes and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a technical services team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
