Manufacturing Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join a small, growing production team in a specialist engineering environment. The role is hands‑on, shop‑floor based and offers long‑term stability, training and the chance to work on a variety of manufacturing and assembly tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Pick components from stock using Excel‑based pick lists and perform goods‑in checks against paperwork and drawings.
• Pack and label kits according to bills of materials and assemble products, including basic electrical cabling.
• Manufacture and pack specialist insulation tapes and maintain stock levels.
• Produce and complete manufacturing documentation while supporting quality systems and ISO procedures.
• Assist with general shop‑floor duties and occasional machine operation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in picking, packing, stores or assembly.
• Practical, hands‑on mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Physically fit for manual handling of 8‑10 kg components.
• Reliable, team‑focused and willing to learn.
• ONC/HND engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel for pick‑list management.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Basic electrical cabling knowledge.
• Forklift operation (counter‑balance licence preferred, training available).
