Marine Field Service Engineer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Southampton and combines workshop work with on‑site service for specialist marine equipment. You will support client installations, travel internationally when required and benefit from extensive overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service niche marine equipment in a workshop environment.
• Travel to client sites across the UK and abroad to perform field installations and repairs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on complex marine systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Log work hours and report on service activities.

Required profile

• Background in marine engineering or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including occasional international trips.
• Motivation to undertake further training and develop specialist skills.
• Ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a workshop team.

Required skills
