Marine Pricing Actuary

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Pricing Actuary to join a leading specialist insurer in the London market. The role will provide expert pricing insight, analytical challenge and strategic support to drive profitable growth for the marine portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality case pricing, portfolio reviews and analytical support for marine business.
• Maintain ownership of pricing models and ensure robust governance and model oversight.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams and senior stakeholders, providing independent actuarial judgement.
• Develop and present management information and contribute to business planning activities.
• Mentor actuarial analysts and influence pricing and underwriting decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary or equivalent experience with strong general insurance pricing background.
• Experience in the London market or specialty insurance sector.
• Commercially minded with ability to combine technical excellence and business awareness.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading junior team members.
