Market Research Interviewer – Part‑time (Kilmarnock)

About the role

As a Market Research Interviewer you will visit households in and around Kilmarnock to conduct face‑to‑face interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide conversations that capture real‑world experiences, helping to shape public policy and services.

Key responsibilities

• Knock on doors and introduce yourself to residents who have been pre‑notified of the survey.
• Conduct structured interviews using a digital questionnaire on a tablet or laptop.
• Record responses accurately and ensure data quality.
• Manage travel time and mileage according to project guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence with sole use of a car and Class 1 business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a working camera.
• At least 18 hours of availability per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with tablets, laptops and standard office software.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per completed interview, plus admin fees, holiday pay and travel reimbursements.
• Travel time paid at £4.68 per hour and mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles).
• Performance bonuses of £250 after launch and at two‑month intervals.
• Average hourly rate of approximately £15.12, with higher rates for experienced interviewers.
