About the role

The Market Street Florist works at the West Langlands Street store in Kilmarnock, designing arrangements, keeping displays fresh and well-stocked and giving customers expert advice on flowers. The role is permanent, 15 hours per week, and requires full flexibility on weekdays and weekends. The closing date is 15 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, expert service, taking orders confidently and giving specialist advice on flower care and arrangement styles
• Prepare hand-tied bouquets and value-added floral arrangements to company standards
• Keep displays fresh and attractive, monitoring stock rotation to minimise waste
• Share floristry techniques with colleagues and coach them while maintaining health, safety and due diligence standards

Required profile

• Skilled florist with creative design and construction skills, or fully qualified (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent experience)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on, customer-facing role and willing to travel to nearby stores when needed
• Warm, approachable and able to resolve customer queries
• Enjoys working as part of a team and keeping the department safe, tidy and legal
• Over school-leaver age; some roles require being over 18 for health and safety reasons
