Marketing and Communications Manager (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead the communications function for Oxford Head Injury Services, a respected local charity supporting people with acquired brain injury. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will develop and execute the marketing strategy, ensuring the charity’s impact reaches funders, volunteers, partners and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual marketing and communications plan aligned with strategic objectives.
• Lead digital communications, including website management, social media, email marketing and digital content creation.
• Produce compelling copy for fundraising campaigns, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and major donor engagement.
• Create engaging content for newsletters, website, social channels and promotional materials.
• Oversee production of the Annual Report, Impact Report and other organisational publications, delivering on time and within budget.
• Champion and protect the OHIS brand, ensuring consistency, accessibility and alignment with organisational values.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in marketing and communications.

What we offer

• Salary £38,000‑£40,000 per year (pro rata).
• 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE) spread over three days.
• Hybrid working with approximately one day per week in the office.
• Fixed‑term 12‑month maternity cover contract.
