Marketing and Engagement Executive

About the role

As a Marketing and Engagement Executive you will bring the work of Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service to life across social media, the public website and the intranet. The role focuses on planning, creating and publishing engaging digital content while collaborating with teams to uncover stories that resonate with local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, schedule and publish content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.
• Produce photography and video material, from concept through filming and editing.
• Build relationships with colleagues to encourage contributions of photos, videos and stories.
• Write blogs, news articles, website copy and intranet pieces that are clear and engaging.
• Improve public‑facing website content for accessibility and relevance.
• Enhance local and station‑based content to boost community engagement.
• Coordinate and oversee local Facebook page administrators.
• Use emerging trends and recent incidents to create timely prevention messages.
• Support wider marketing activities, events and communications during operational incidents.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver marketing projects and events.

Required profile

• Creative storyteller with strong visual and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Experience collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management skills.
