Marketing Manager – Event & Campaign Lead (12‑month contract)

About the role

Join The Lancet Group on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract as a Marketing Manager, leading event‑based marketing projects and campaigns that support strategic business objectives and strengthen engagement with authors, readers and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lancet Marketing & Communications, editorial teams and Elsevier colleagues to deliver impactful events and event‑focused campaigns for clinical audiences.
• Produce live and on‑demand Lancet webinars and liaise with external partners to promote Lancet Lectures.
• Own marketing plans and develop campaigns to drive abstract submissions, event registrations, website traffic and lead generation.
• Create and maintain event landing pages on TheLancet.com in partnership with product and web teams.
• Report on campaign performance, insights and spend against budget.

Required profile

• Relevant marketing experience, preferably in publishing, healthcare or academia.
• Strong project, time‑management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ownership, growth and agile mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation and adapting to changing priorities.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
