Marketplace New Business Lead

About the role

We are a fast‑growing ecommerce business seeking a Marketplace New Business Lead to head our Marketplace team. You will combine hands‑on account management with people leadership, driving commercial growth and shaping the future of our online platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing Marketplace Account Management team.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic marketplace partners, delivering revenue growth and long‑term relationships.
• Analyse sales performance, identify opportunities to increase revenue, product visibility and seller success.
• Develop commercial growth plans aligned with promotional activity, trading calendars and seasonal peaks.
• Drive product optimisation across pricing, content quality, availability and assortment.
• Support onboarding and expansion of marketplace partners across multiple product categories.
• Work cross‑functionally with Trading, Marketing, Operations and Customer Services to resolve complex commercial and operational issues.
• Ensure partners comply with company policies and standards, and produce performance reporting to influence strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ecommerce, marketplace or key‑account management.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a commercial team.
• Track record of improving partner performance and delivering commercial growth.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and make commercially sound decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced ecommerce or marketplace environment.
