About the role
The Markets Operative supports the St Nicholas Markets team, ensuring the day‑to‑day operation of the market environment is safe, clean and efficient.
Key responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, waste disposal and recycling tasks across market sites.
- Lock, unlock and secure premises and open‑space areas.
- Set up, move and dismantle market and event equipment.
- Carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance on buildings, infrastructure and equipment.
Required profile
- Ability to work physically and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Reliability and willingness to work flexible hours as required by market activities.
- Commitment to meet the essential criteria outlined in the Person Specification.
