Material Cutter – Redruth

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Material Cutter to join a busy manufacturing team in Redruth. The role involves preparing paper patterns, hand‑cutting fabric to exact specifications and supporting machinists in producing finished garments. It is a hands‑on position for someone who values precision and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Alter paper patterns to specification.
• Hand‑cut fabric pattern pieces accurately.
• Mark fastenings and pin reinforcements as required.
• Generate garment labels.
• Perform quality checks on other cutters on a rotational basis.
• Log completed work using dedicated manufacturing software.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar cutting role.
• Thorough and precise approach with high attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work well with hands.
• Numerically competent and computer literate.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality output.

• £12.71 per hour.
• Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am – 12:00 pm.
