Material Handler – Production Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support production operations in West Thurrock. The role involves maintaining material flow on the line, operating handling equipment and ensuring safety and quality standards throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish raw materials and packing line supplies.
• Operate hoist and powered pump truck to move supersacks and pallets.
• Carry out safety checks, report incidents and maintain training records.
• Monitor and record quality metrics, investigate any deviations.
• Follow shift patterns, including day and night rotations.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn new skills and develop expertise.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to safe operating procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication with colleagues.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail and disciplined work approach.

Required skills

• Hoist operation.
• Powered pump truck operation.
• General material handling.
