Material Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Material Support Specialist to join the Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK at RAF Brize Norton. You will work closely with MRO and P145 teams to ensure material availability for the UK A400M fleet and support maintenance and flight programme commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational focus across all material aspects supporting maintenance and technical activities for the UK A400M fleet worldwide.
• Support and recover Aircraft on Ground (AOG) scenarios, contribute to calls and provide expert input.
• Escalate AOG and Work Stop issues, including parts at risk within depth maintenance and ADF requirements.
• Liaise with customers to manage material procurement requirements and raise issues when delivery targets are not met.
• Proactively track and resolve delays, missing paperwork, or incomplete requisitions.
• Identify risks and ensure appropriate escalation of unresolved material issues.
• Attend daily operational briefings and planning meetings to support ongoing activity.

Required profile

• Experience in a material support or supply‑chain focused role, preferably within aerospace, engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of material management systems such as SAP (SP1 or S/4 HANA), Airnav and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using MDS for P145 material requisitions and knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
• Proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to manage risk and prioritise tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers and stakeholders.
• Experience reporting and participating in operational meetings.

What we offer

• Rate: £22.43 per hour (PAYE) or £30.00 per hour (Umbrella).
• 12‑month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
• 35 hours per week, typically 4.5 days between 07:00‑19:00.
