Materials Buyer – Construction

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Materials Buyer to join the centralised buying function of a leading independent construction contractor operating across London and the South East. The role involves managing procurement of plant, materials and waste services for a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee material, plant and waste management procurement.
- Support projects across sectors such as social housing, education, health, leisure, commercial fit‑out and special works.
- Handle contracts ranging from £2k to £10 million, managing both direct and indirect spend.
- Purchase for mixed‑scale contracts and maintain cost/value reporting.
Required profile
- Proven background in construction contracting purchasing.

What we offer
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 plus car allowance.
- Flexible working with up to four days remote per week.
