Materials & Production Planner (Hybrid)

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Materials & Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing operation in Bridgwater. You will balance customer demand with production capacity, maintain accurate planning data and support the delivery of products on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the short‑term production plan and customer order schedule within agreed parameters.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain and Production teams to confirm delivery dates and communicate risks.
• Enter and maintain orders in the ERP system, create and release production orders, and monitor shortfalls.
• Adjust priorities, handle urgent orders and balance workload on a daily/weekly basis.
• Liaise with Purchasing and Dispatch to align production and delivery commitments.
• Attend daily planning meetings and keep planning records up to date.

Required profile

• GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, supply‑chain or order‑management environments.
• Proven ability to work with ERP systems and maintain accurate data.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
