Materials Testing Technician – Lab Role in Honiton

About the role

This permanent, lab‑based position is for a Materials Testing Technician who will join a close‑knit team of technical experts in Honiton. You will work with exotic materials for the Defence and Aerospace sectors, carrying out both destructive and non‑destructive testing and contributing to continuous product development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a wide variety of destructive (DT) and non‑destructive (NDT) tests on exotic materials.
• Create, prepare and test material specimens in a controlled laboratory environment.
• Analyse test data and interpret results.
• Produce clear, detailed reports to communicate findings to clients.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Materials Technician or in a similar laboratory role.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
• Residence within commuting distance of Honiton.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and career progression.
