Maths and English Tutor – Part‑time (Warrington)

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking enthusiastic Maths and English Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children and young people in Warrington. The role supports learners in alternative provision and local authority‑funded education programmes, working in homes, libraries and community venues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised tutoring for GCSE Maths and English.
• Deliver KS2 and KS3 intervention, functional skills and literacy/numeracy catch‑up.
• Prepare pupils for exams and build confidence in learning.
• Support re‑engagement with education, especially for pupils with additional needs.

Required profile

• Experience working with pupils in primary, secondary or special education settings.
• Ability to adapt sessions for SEN, SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety or school avoidance.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to attend a registration interview and provide professional references.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GCSE Maths and English curricula.
• Effective communication and ability to tailor lessons to individual needs.
