About the role
We are seeking a Maths Lecturer to join the teaching bank for West Lancashire College in Skelmersdale. The position offers flexible, full‑time hours on a temporary contract, allowing you to support learners in achieving GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver GCSE and/or Functional Skills Mathematics lessons.
- Support learners of varying abilities to develop numeracy skills.
- Prepare students for examinations and assess their progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor achievement.
- Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching GCSE or Functional Skills Maths.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
Required skills
- Mathematics subject knowledge at GCSE level.
- Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons.
- Assessment and feedback skills.
