About the role
BMet is seeking a passionate Maths Lecturer to join the teaching team at Sutton Coldfield College. You will deliver high‑quality mathematics instruction to post‑16 learners, supporting them to achieve their qualifications and prepare for further study or employment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess mathematics lessons in line with the college curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their understanding and performance.
- Contribute to the development and review of course materials and assessment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Engage in continuous professional development and departmental meetings.
Required profile
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTLS, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics to post‑16 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
Required skills
- Proficiency in delivering mathematics curriculum across a range of levels.
- Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems.
