Maths Teacher – Chiswick

About the role

We are looking for an inspiring Maths Teacher to join our specialist school in Chiswick, West London. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality mathematics lessons to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them achieve functional and academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Foundation Maths where appropriate.
• Adapt lessons to a wide range of abilities and learning profiles.
• Monitor progress and create personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams.
• Foster confidence and practical life‑skills through mathematics.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching mathematics in mainstream secondary schools.
• Experience working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs.
• Good knowledge of Functional Skills Maths.
• Experience teaching GCSE Foundation Maths (desirable).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible, positive and pupil‑centred approach.
