Maths Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent

About the role

Academics is partnering with a well‑regarded secondary school in Reading to recruit a Maths Teacher who loves the subject and wants to work in a supportive environment. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with optional involvement in Key Stage 5.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to improve results.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to the wider school community and department.
• Optionally teach KS5 if you have the expertise.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Maths subject background.
• Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable).
• Commitment to high student expectations and progress.
• Collaborative, organised and proactive attitude.
• Commutable to Reading.
