Maths Teacher

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher for a fixed‑term maternity cover starting in September. The role is full‑time and based in a secondary school in Leeds, delivering engaging maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, with the possibility of supporting Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Incorporate digital learning tools to enhance student engagement and attainment.
• Use data‑driven analysis to identify gaps and implement targeted interventions.
• Support under‑achieving learners while challenging high‑ability students.
• Collaborate with the maths faculty to develop and share schemes of work.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Current Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
