Maths Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Maths Teacher to join Park School, an independent specialist day school in Chipping Norton. You will deliver inspiring, differentiated mathematics lessons to secondary‑age pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them achieve both academic and personal progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative maths lessons that meet individual targets.
• Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom where every pupil can thrive.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress using a range of assessment strategies and digital tools.
• Adapt teaching approaches to support diverse learning needs, including SEN requirements.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development alongside academic achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and wider school life, potentially acting as a Form Tutor.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, or equivalent.
• Experience teaching mathematics to secondary‑age students.
• High expectations and a belief that every child can succeed.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching for a wide range of learning needs.
• Experience in an SEN or specialist setting is desirable but not essential.

• Competitive salary up to £48,000 per year (depending on experience).
• 37.5 hour week, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm.
