Maths Teacher (Key Stages 3‑4)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a Good‑rated secondary school in Upminster. The role involves delivering engaging mathematics lessons to students aged 11‑16 across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them build confidence and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the Mathematics department and wider school staff on curriculum development.
• Participate in enrichment activities, intervention sessions and school events as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for teaching Mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to raising achievement for students of all abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
