Maths Teacher – Part‑Time (3 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join The Gateway Inclusion Unit (Future Schools Trust) in Maidstone. This long‑term temporary position runs from September to December, three days a week, delivering GCSE‑level maths to students who need additional support.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Maths up to GCSE level.
• Deliver engaging, well‑planned lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching resources.
• Carry out a limited amount of marking and assessment.
• Foster positive relationships that encourage student engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support students academically and personally.

Required profile

• Experience teaching Maths in UK schools.
• Strong subject knowledge up to GCSE Maths.
• Confidence in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Ability to build positive relationships and motivate diverse learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Adaptable, patient and committed to positive outcomes for every student.
• Qualified Teacher Status not essential, but relevant UK teaching experience is required.
