About the role

Protocol Education is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Chelmsford. The role starts in January and involves delivering engaging mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting GCSE groups and contributing to the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑driven mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and monitor progress.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learning environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to raise achievement.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4, or an early‑career teacher with solid maths expertise.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Proactive and inspiring teaching style.
