Maths Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a high‑achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London. The role starts in September 2026 and is term‑time only, offering a competitive daily rate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group maths intervention sessions.
• Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and give feedback to teaching staff.
• Support learners with diverse needs to help them reach their potential.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (preferred).
• Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
• Strong mathematical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm and a commitment to student success.
• Reliability, proactivity and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
