About the role
Join a high‑achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets as a Maths Teaching Assistant. This full‑time, onsite position starts in September and offers the chance to support Key Stages 3 and 4 learners while gaining valuable classroom experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support during Maths lessons to raise attainment.
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Encourage student confidence, participation, and independent learning.
- Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
- Monitor progress and relay feedback to teaching staff.
Required profile
- Strong academic background in Mathematics (degree preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience working with young people in schools, tutoring, mentoring or coaching environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, enthusiastic and committed to student success.
- Interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching.
