M&E Supervisor – Electrical Bias

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Supervisor with an electrical bias to lead the delivery of electrical and building services for a large facilities‑management organisation in Barking, Essex. The role involves supervising mechanical, electrical and building trades staff as well as specialist contractors on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical, electrical and building trades staff and specialist contractors.
• Plan, allocate and monitor work to ensure quality, cost and service targets are achieved.
• Liaise with clients, manage materials and services, and maintain accurate work records.
• Support emergency responses, staff development, compliance and safe working practices.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising mechanical, electrical and building services teams.
• Ability to plan, allocate and monitor work delivered by staff and contractors.
• Strong performance, quality, cost and customer‑expectation management.
• Willingness to work with tools, support staff development and complete relevant training.
• Availability for emergency on‑call rota and occasional overtime.

Required skills

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical principles.
• ECS/JIB Gold Card certification.
• Experience with CAFM systems and maintaining accurate documentation.
