Measurement Room Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Measurement Room Specialist to join the plant Quality Department, supporting both the metrology and metallurgical laboratories. You will measure and inspect internally manufactured and externally supplied components to ensure they meet quality and engineering standards, working closely with engineering, production, maintenance and management teams in an advanced automotive manufacturing environment that is transitioning to electric‑vehicle powertrain production.

Key responsibilities

• Support commissioning and introduction of new measurement equipment.
• Measure internal and externally purchased components using laboratory equipment.
• Produce accurate measurement reports for inspected components.
• Provide measurement and technical support for quality investigations.
• Assist in developing test methods and identifying continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet business targets and quality standards.

Required profile

• Completed Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship, or an HNC/HND.
• Knowledge of measurement principles, processes and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with different teams.
• Proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of 5S and workplace organisation.
