Mechanical Assembler

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our client’s production team in Wickford. The role involves assembling mechanical components in a warehouse setting, using both power and hand tools while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure they meet required standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to optimise assembly processes and improve efficiency.
• Report any material or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related field (preferred).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
