Mechanical Assembly Technician

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Stroud and offers a hands‑on mechanical assembly role within a market‑leading aviation company. You will receive extensive training on bespoke equipment and have access to regular overtime, bonus schemes and clear progression pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and install fluid transfer systems, including pumps, valves and pipework.
• Carry out routine maintenance, fault‑finding and repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Check systems for faults and ensure smooth operation of installed equipment.
• Work with tools to bend and fit pipework according to specifications.
• Collaborate with the mechanical division to support client sites such as airports and military facilities.

Required profile

• Proven background in pneumatics, hydraulics or pipe bending.
• Experience working with fluid transfer systems and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to work static onsite in a workshop environment.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop new technical competencies.
