Mechanical Contracts Manager

About the role

The Mechanical Contracts Manager will oversee the delivery of mechanical services from project inception through to completion, based in Macclesfield. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical works across planned, reactive, service and small‑works contracts from initial survey to completion.
• Survey, estimate and price small works, planned preventative maintenance and reactive service contracts.
• Coordinate labour resources, materials, subcontractors and site activities to meet schedule and budget.
• Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers, including performance reviews, mentoring and training.
• Drive a positive health and safety culture, conduct site inspections and audits.
• Maintain compliance with mechanical, gas and industry regulations and support NICEIC, Gas Safe and OFTEC assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing mechanical contracts or services in a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong leadership ability to manage and develop a team of engineers.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple sites.
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory standards.
