Mechanical Design Engineer (Mid‑Level)

About the role

We are a well‑established multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy seeking an intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. The role involves delivering mechanical and building services designs that comply with current regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer design and manage tasks on projects as part of an integrated project team.
• Design and specify mechanical engineering solutions for drainage, water services, heating, cooling, ventilation and controls.
• Work collaboratively with the project design team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and manage projects during construction, including site inspections, technical submittals and RFIs.

Required profile

• Strong technical ability and solid understanding of UK engineering standards (Building Regulations, CIBSE/BSRIA Guides, IS/EN).
• Experience in the design and specification of mechanical/building services systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of an engineering team.
• Minimum third‑level degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
