Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotics (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative robotics team in Cambridge. You will be involved in the complete product lifecycle, from concept creation to manufacturing and field deployment of advanced automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and assemblies for robotic and automation equipment.
• Create high‑quality SolidWorks 3D models and detailed engineering drawings.
• Support prototype build, testing and validation activities.
• Collaborate closely with software, electronics and manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of product development experience.
• Proven expertise with SolidWorks and design for manufacture.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
