About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market‑leading specialist in Southampton. The role involves working on cutting‑edge modular building projects for blue‑chip clients, offering strong training and progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Design modular building structures, including frames, piping and mechanical systems.
- Create, validate and document load studies for frameworks.
- Conduct pull and load testing on fixings.
- Oversee projects from concept through to completion.
- Travel to client sites for technical assessments.
- Participate in in‑house and accredited training programmes.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Design Engineer.
- Proven ability to perform load calculations.
- Good knowledge of material and metal properties.
- Live within commuting distance of Southampton.
