Mechanical Fitter Assembler

About the role

Our client, a well‑established leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Mechanical Fitter Assembler to join their growing team in Aylesbury. You will work on the assembly of heat‑exchanger units and other mechanical components, following engineering drawings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly tasks using pre‑manufactured parts.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings to produce complete assemblies.
• Assemble heat‑exchanger units and related components.
• Participate in quality‑control processes to maintain high standards.
• Operate fixed and hand‑held machinery safely.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Support continuous improvement projects by offering insights and ideas.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to health and safety compliance.
