Mechanical Fitter – Precision Assembly Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well‑established engineering manufacturer in Wimborne Minster. The successful candidate will assemble and fit mechanical components into high‑value assemblies, working from detailed engineering drawings to deliver precision‑built products shipped worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and fit mechanical components and sub‑assemblies.
• Strip down, inspect, fault‑find and rebuild parts to exacting standards.
• Read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings.
• Carry out mechanical repairs, adjustments and refinements.
• Fit smaller precision components into larger assemblies safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Assembly role.
• Confident reading and working from mechanical drawings.
• Strong hand‑tool skills and high attention to detail.
• Proactive, team‑focused attitude.
