Mechanical Fitter (Welding)

About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter with strong welding and fabrication experience to join a multinational manufacturing organisation in Glasgow. The role is days‑based, Monday to Friday, offering a stable 37‑hour week and a salary between £44,000 and £48,000.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical faults on production equipment.
- Carry out repairs, heavy mechanical fitting and welding tasks.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and service of manufacturing assets.
Required profile
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
- HNC or HND qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Desire for a stable, days‑only position with clear progression routes.
